Every evening from Monday to Saturday, we collect surplus end of day food from Pret a Manger, Wenzel’s Bakery and Reeve the Baker. A team of volunteers distribute this food, along with additional donations from the Church and local food outlets, to the hungry and homeless in the area.
This currently takes place at Millstream Coach Park in Salisbury at 7pm.
Please note that our service is not means tested. If you are hungry and you need us, we are here to help. Just turn up!
On Sundays, a team of volunteers get together to cook over 60 hot take away meals which are then distributed at the Coach Park at 12.45 pm. We also provide supper bags to take away for the evening.
All welcome, just turn up!
We are also able to provide some essential items for the homeless or those in need including sleeping bags, blankets, toiletries, trainers, waterproof coats and some basic clothing items. Please ask at Food Distribution and we will endeavour to get the required items to you as soon as we can.
Most recently we have been distributing ‘Cost of Living’ bags which include tea, coffee, milk and sugar supplies – these can be picked up at Sunday lunch food distribution – please ask.
With the ongoing demand for NHS dentists and the shortage of appointments, we have linked up with Dentaid to set up a series of dental clinics to provide emergency dental help to those who are homeless, in supported living, or who are in desperate need but have no means to access NHS dentistry. At some of the Dentaid clinic days, depending on demand, we have also offered a professional podiatry service. As well as this, local hairdresser Dan from Seven Ivy Hairdressing and Marie from Ria’s Hair Studio have both generously volunteered to provide free haircuts.
If you would like to find out more about these services, please send us your details and we will contact you with details of our next upcoming event.
