A homelessness, loneliness, isolation and poverty alleviation charity
For Salisbury
Encircles a Homelessness Charity in Salisbury has been a registered Charity since the 18th April 2019, we are all extremely proud that we are a self funding not for profit organisation.
Encircles is a Homelessness Charity in Salisbury and there are several aspects to helping our homeless friends, from feeding them to assisting them to move into their permanent, forever accommodation but also just listening and being a friendly face and providing a willing ear can make all the difference to their state of mind.
Thank you!

ENCIRCLES are extremely grateful to the local companies of Salisbury who supply us with their hot and cold food at the end of each working day. Throughout the winter months, local Churches supply us with hot, filling soup. All food is distributed each evening to the Street Homeless, our friends living in Supported Accommodation and even some of our friends who are experiencing financial concerns.
We don’t like to leave anyone hungry on the streets of Salisbury during the evenings.
Sometimes this can be the only hot food they eat throughout the day.
The Evening Food Distribution takes place 7 days a week at the Poultry Cross during the summer months and beside the Library Steps during the darker evenings.
At approximately 2100hrs!
A team of our wonderful volunteers brave all weather conditions to drive out to 3 local Co-op stores in the Salisbury area:
Wilton Co-op,
Castle Street Co-op
Wilton Road Co-op
They collect the food, which most shops would just throw into their waste bin; this food is still delicious and consumable. It is then sorted through by our Community Food Coordinator and held overnight in suitable conditions, which includes refrigerating the chilled foods. The next morning, another of our volunteers will deliver the foodstuffs to the Community Fridge at Bemerton Heath, the Alabaré Homeless Hostel and John Baker House.
Unfortunately, some people struggle to feed their family and rely on the community fridge to help them make ends meet. This is a vital lifeline for them. Encircles helps so many facing such huge difficulties.
